Adidas Brand Identity

  • Adidas request that Adidas is always spelt in all lowercase letters.
  • When selecting a typeface for any communications/developments, the typeface should not resemble the main logo typeface this is to keep the uniqueness and prominence of the Adidas branding.
  • As we are using the sports performance (SP) brand for the brief we should stick to the guidelines recommended by the brand. i.e. the logo must be kept to black and white on contrasting backgrounds.
  • Additions to the SP logo must be kept out of the boundaries as shown above.
  • If the 3 stripes are used the must only be in vertical variations of design.
  • Avoid all violations of the use of the current branding.
Why it is important to design with current brand identity guidelines in mind?

Brand guidelines are a set of tools and rules all about how a brand wants to have themselves presented in design. In brand guidelines, there should be a clear definition of colour palette, typography, logo design variations. They are important to keep a brands tone, keeping visual consistency; allowing for more impact.
