In my final crit, I believe that it was
identified that my final design I have chosen worked successfully. I was told
that I correctly represented vintage store with modern values. The target
demographic that I was aiming for was 18 to mid 30s, I believe that related to
this target demographic through the use of the modern humanist font and
creating a design based around the use of whitespace, not taking away the values
from the vintage clothing store itself. The feedback that I was given told me
to see how the logotype would work across a range of products, this is
something I would do if I had no time constraints; allowing me to print on
different medias as well as surveying wider audiences would allow me to gain a better knowledge
on what my audience would buy. My feedback also told me that I should
experiment with the use of coloured contrast against the simplicity of the
logotype design. This is something I can develop in my mock-ups as I believe that
pastel colours will add a bright pop of personality while not taking away
from the logotype itself.
