Wireframes are used in UXD to be able to initially realise a way of
beginning the design process for the app, the first sketches are developed into
digital bases to begin to design the prototype of the app. It allows me to see
which parts of the app will link to each other and ensure that the screen is
not over crowded.

Home page ideas |
- Navigation at the bottom of the page, changing blocks in the centre of
the page which display different images each time from someone’s portfolio.
- Tinder style
swipe system to say yes or no, only see one image from ones per profile, which
forces the person to make a decision whether or not to begin a match with that
person.
- More information
about the artist’s work, with their specialism, slightly overlaying the work in
white to contrast against the work but not take priority.
|
Message Board Ideas |
- Standard messaging screen, familiar so people would know how to use it
straight away, small image scrolling through the artist’s work.
- Central large
image with text placed over it in the middle, navigation between the different
messages on the circles, circles contain a running slideshow of the artist’s
work you are talking to.
- Circles at the
top half of the page navigates the way through the messages, messages in
bubbles, box at the bottom containing an image displaying the artist’s work
that you are currently in conversation with.
|
Archives Ideas |
- Based around the idea of folders, click the folder and it expands small
previews of the profiles, click a profile it expands to that artists profile.
- Click through profiles through circle previews at the bottom of the
page, opens quick view of that artists in the upper half, click through to
their profile.
- Listed specialisms, select specialism, shows the file expanded with
circle click through to the profiles.

Homepage Ideas Continued |
- Similar to last homepage plan, less information more focus on the work
itself.
- Full screen image, just yes or no at the bottom, no information or
anything else on the screen, taking out all personal factors.
