These are my completed final pictograms of the buildings
that I will be using in my wayfinding system they are as my development
predicted although I added an element of not finishing all of the detail in
each of the pictograms. This is to keep the element of simplicity; I believe
this is also in trend with current line drawings. These will be printed on
acetate when inserted into the booklet, this again is another reason to keep
simplicity as simple lines were contrast more against the transparent
background. I also did not want to detract from the main imagery that the wayfinding
system is based around. I believe that these have been successful, and thus
help me vastly improve my skills with illustrator. Each of the pictograms are
easily identifiable of the buildings that they have come from as I've picked up
key features from each one, therefore meeting the needs and requirements of the
pictogram. This is something that could be further developed if the books were
put into mass production.
