This map shows where the locations of my final selected
buildings will be. Although I like the idea from my research of having a slight
element of subjectivity in my wayfinding system and would like to include this
somehow in my route, this is a point I will be bringing up in my crit to get
feedback about as I’m considering either creating multiple routes on the way to
the same location; or through the use of subjective pictograms. I want to
develop the idea which is most in fitting with my final design idea, and with
my rationale.
I have chosen ideal locations that guides you from one side
of the city to the other, stopping at each of the points I have selected,
meaning no matter which end you start or what route you take it will take you
around the whole city centre. This was important to me as I wanted my target
demographic to be towards people that are new to the city and want to get to
know it, such as tourists or students who have just moved here.
