As Lucy is from London as a team we decided she should do the voice over. As it would best fit in with the app, being focused around London. After a short tutorial from one of the sound booth staff, Lucy and I were confident in being able to record. After attempting a few take the first sentence we realise that the pace of the script should be sped up in order to fit in everything we needed.
Post recording the voice-over a day be Adobe audition was used to edit the sound to ensure it was of the highest quality. Although we struggled to get the entire content under two minutes, as this is what the brief required from us. Due to the amount that we had to speed up the speech and the amount we had to remove from this actual speech the overall voice-over did not sound of professional quality. Therefore we attempted to rebook the studio and revise our script to make it shorter and more concise.

Revised Script:
London has already exceeded their yearly pollution limit for 2018. The main contributing factor to London's air pollution is emitted from transport. Pollution causes on estimate, 23,500 early deaths a year! By bringing people away from transport that produces pollution, and guiding them through less polluted routes, air quality is improved both for London and for Adidas’ athletes.
Introducing, Adidas Motion.
Adidas Motion provides high quality air routes for people to get from A to B.
The app uses technology similar to that of leading navigation applications, to determine the areas of pollution in London.
The technology works by analysing the GPS locations transmitted by mobile users.
The higher traffic density the higher the pollution rate.
Adidas Motion is then able to generate a knowledge of the air quality and provide routes in areas with lower pollution.
On the app people are given the choice to login with social media accounts, which allows them easily share their stats later on.
They tap in the location they wish to get to, the most common destinations are saved.
Multiple route options are given, which avoid areas with high pollution, which can be seen on the map itself.
They’ll choose the route and select the pace, the run will start and they’ll be able to see how many points are gained from that run.
People are rewarded through a points system which can be redeemed for discount off Adidas products, points are added up to 4 levels, each worth 5% of discount. The limit is 20% off, which is higher than student discount, encouraging them to use the app.
They can track how they're doing through the activity page, where they compare the averages to previous runs, set daily challenging targets, or even see how they've improved on last year.
If they don't want to be running alone they can simply share their referral code to friends, giving both themselves and the new user 10 points towards the next level of discount.
When the discount codes been used, the runner level will go back down to zero, if they want to build up more discount... just keep running.
Adidas Motion’s encouragements, health benefits and self set challenging targets takes people away from the bus, car and tube. It gives the user the chance to involve themselves in a healthier environment, and tackle London's growing pollution problem.
Changing the fabric of london’s health, and air.
Through revising the script we were able to include everything we wanted still but within the two minute time period limit. Therefore allowing to progress onto the design of the animation and promotional video that should be sent to D&AD as part of the submission.
