In order to create in order to create the outer packaging for my metal boxes, I created the label and gradient mix within Illustrator. This allowed me to create the best quality vectors for the examples of how the product would look. This also allowed me to use transparency so when creating the mockup it gave the best visual example of how the matter would show through the light part of the gradient towards the bottom of each tin.

In order to gain the most precise accuracy when placing the mockup into situ, I measured the distance from the top of the tin to the bottom lip of the lid, and added a guide to ensure the outcome had the desired effect. Each of these boards were then exported as Illustrator files to obtain vectorisation throughout the project. At this stage was also able to consider the content of the back, and insert what is needed from this style of media, two boxes in this format required to have the calories in which each serving is given. Therefore this was added to in fit with the appropriation of the product.
Once the same process had occurred to the front labels the imagery was then ready to drop into situ, to be able to get a good idea of how this set would like if progressed.
In order to add a further sense of luxury and also to link the idea in which the tea should be drunk particular time of day that relates to the gradient of the tin, I added a small message onto the front of each label. Simply greeting the consumer with the appropriate timing i.e. good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. This is something that can also be carried across to the packaging of the gift box and tie together the brand's visual concept.
