Typefaces
he typeface I will be using the main body text used anywhere within the app is Adihaus Medium, I've selected the medium from within this typeface family as I believe it is the clearest. Therefore making it the most easily legible on screen.
I would like to be using the typeface adineue to create sections of highlighted text of importance, although it is requested in the brand guidelines that this is only used within the logotype itself. This is a consideration where I will be taking into place, when designing the logotype for the app.Colours
The particular colours that I will be using throughout the app, set by Adidas themselves. Though this wasn't crustal requirement of the brief I believe that it would create the most in fitting aestethic which when presenting will complement the existing Adidas brand, and other elements of the app which take into consideration the use of the brand.
Logo
My initial ideas towards the logo were based around the rules created in the brand guidelines around the typeface choices and the way which they can be used. Therefore I created this simple logo in which Adidas is kept as the main focus. Although don't believe that motion is particularly predominant in this piece.
I then developed this experiment, a place the motion within the third stripe is believed it would be a way to gain more attention from the name itself. It is important to me to keep with the brand identity to make sure that Adidas motion seems part of the brand, get through doing this style of logo it almost destroys the brand identity.
I then considered the way in which the brand guidelines are worded, the typeface AdiNeue is to not be used unless it is within the logo. Through keeping the three stripes within this logo design the consumers mind is instantly taken to Adidas, through replacing the actual word Adidas with motion but keeping it the same size typeface, and position within the actual grid, allows for not too much of a change in terms of making it unfamiliar; yet makes this an identifiable new logo, which is obviously part of the Adidas brand.
