My ideas have stemmed from considering how to make the set of three teas relevant to each other, as my research has previously shown I will be steering my ideas towards a market which considers natural ingredients and replacing the chemicals in tea that provides the stimulant effects such as caffeine.
Set of 3:
Focusing on de-stressing
- A tea which ingredients and design focus' on different ingredients which help the consumer relax, as well as the visuals, coinciding this.
- Each tea would create a different level of relaxation depending on the ingredients.
- Each tea would be consumed at different times of the stress levels being on different intensity.
- Relax, Stressed, Overwhelmed.
This would work in terms of allowing me to research and experiment with flavours and ingredients for the tea. Although, this could be seen as the taboo subject, due to its negative twist of being focused on negative activity; such as stress. If this was an idea that I could develop, I would have to put a positive twist on it, though possibly experimenting with wording and colour.
Tea based on motivation
Day-to-Day Tea
Tea based on motivation
- create a brand in which each tea motivates you to be able to get excited about the next new flavour.
- As the flavours develop they would become more complex and possibly sweeter, meaning as the day progresses the consumer would be able to be motivated by that particular flavour to the next.
- The flavours would be created naturally, but have the flavours of what could be seen as treats.
- Not only the flavours would be motivating but the ingredients would allow the consumer, to feel good from the inside out, by the use of vitamins and natural stimulants.
Due to the nature of this day being around motivation I could experiment with modern design, again taking away from traditionalism, which was one of my main focus is I wanted to take away from the brief. In order to be motivating the design must be colourful and attractive, this also allows me to experiment with texture as the design itself should be motivated enough the audience to want to go and see the next one. Although, in order to keep that is motivating the must be a way of mixing the ingredients to create differences in each tea, so the consumer does not get bored the same project over and over.
- brand based on different times of the day.
- morning tea would focus on waking up and getting started the day in the right way providing the correct vitamins and other nutrients to start the morning.
- A noon tea would allow the consumer to get motivated for the afternoon, process lunch and give them the base then need to continue on the day.
- A nighttime tea would allow the user to unwind from their busy day, as my product is aimed was young professionals, prepare themselves to rest.
This idea would create a boost the target demographic, and deal with multiple issues, the face throughout the day. The idea that it deals with an issue and helps people but it has peopled by this as a gift, as they would feel it is benefiting the consumer and therefore representing care. This would also allow me to experiment with ingredients and flavours which would provide natural stimulant throughout the day and a relaxant in the evening.
Chosen Idea:
After speaking to my peers have decided to create and further investigate day-to-day tea, as it deals with the key issues which I wanted to pick up on when creating this brief and allows further investigation into the actual contents of the tea. Therefore allowing me to gain a better understanding of the product itself, and create a product design which is best for fittings the product itself.
Research ahead:
In my further research, I will be further investigating natural remedy trends and consider the ways I can incorporate this into the tea, as I feel this is something which my target audience would be interested in. Also, investigate visual literacy linked with these type of products which are in the market in other areas. I will also be investigating what flavours go best together to ensure that the product is the best it can be the luxury market. I will also be taken into consideration the previous research I've already carried out into the luxury market of this product.
