after further researching into relevant designers who are currently doing artwork within the industry, I've decided that the best approach would be a handmade approach mixed with digital this mixed media approach shows the way in which there are different layers to the work and add to tactile dimension mentioned the music itself. The ability to mixed media also allows me to investigate the idea of visualising things that don't exist.
In my previous research, it was evident that some of the visuals are associated with house music in general are inspired by art movements. The movements were based on a rejection of traditionalism similar to that values that house music was built on. When I mix the two ideas of thinking about something which doesn't exist but also art movements surrealism comes to mind.
A way to capture surrealism would be through the use of collage, this technique is a popular technique through graphic designers who want to add this extra handmade I mention to their pieces.
When taking into consideration the types of visuals which I could include within the piece I once again refer back to the quote. The songs themselves and the visuals that coincide with them currently don't associate with each other nor make sense. Therefore, I've decided to research into jokes which have gone too far or personal jokes which to others they may not understand. Through doing this it is visualising the effect of the music on the current house music industry, fidget house is now emerging as its own genre after once being just a joke that went too far. Through the use of collage I can visually represent the way in which house music is built, to the physical layering of sound from different styles and different genres, which can be represented within the piece.
