This short video simply shows the difference in the way that people have been brought up with different ideas towards what masculinity mean. But this also shows the way that people have a changing view in what masculinity means, to some of the people that have been asked they replied with the strongest person they could think of, others responded with those that had done most to their relevant communities. It shows that way that some of the perceptions of males are changing, but also how there are perceptions that are assosiated with males, such as being in a point of power and providing and supporting, that should be just generally assosiated with anyone; gender should not be the constricting factor when in consideration of a supporting, powerful, pioneering etc. person.
Which takes me back to my earlier findings when considering the subject, about the desperate need for more balance within the wider community of perceptions and expectations not to only be formed by the person identified gender, as neither inhibits ability to do any of these things in a modern day society. Some may see this behaviour as transgressive, yet in the contrary it is progression and needed in order for equality both within the female and male spectrum.
