Micro-music Genre - Surrealist art (modern)

 When I consider surrealist art I more consider the modern styles of surrealism rather than the traditional art movement. Collage as a way of creating interesting images of situations which would never happen has been a major movement in large graphic design communities.
One of which we completed a workshop with last year, DR.ME our graphic design studio which bases their current works on the use of collage.

As can be seen below their works feature, found imagery which represents a certain particular situation or story they're trying to tell. The imagery is of mixed origin, therefore black-and-white images are mixed with colour images which will print on different materials to give the handmade and authentic feel. All of the imagery's paper cut by hand, therefore further adding to the handmade tactile feel of the collage. This is a technique that I would like to use within my work, making it evident that something has been made from different layers, which previously didn't exist, to visually exemplify a situation which is unclear to the audience at first.
