Micro-music Genre - Visual Literacy around house music

 As previously identified in my research, the visuals are identified with so-called fidget house DJs, is a mix of cartoonised to rave visuals which can be reciprocated at events. Two visuals that just don't really make sense. Now knowing the origins of fidget house music and its actual nonexistence, it would make sense that the imagery doesn't.

Electro house visuals:

The imagery seems to take inspiration from the main genre of electro house.The visuals related to electro house play on the idea of light and dark. A representative of the big beats and bass that can be found in the house music genre. This is also representative of the type of place that you would find house music, in clubs and almost dark space events.

House music visuals:

most visuals are associated with house music, feature a gradient styling loads of contrast. The contrast represents the contrast in the music styles that are combined with in-house music. As spoken about previously my research with the combination of slow classics and European pop style. The gradients also representative of the summer colours and the bright vibrant colours that are associated with house music. House music has a reputation to be played in the summer and get events on the beach, one of the major subgenres of house music is tropical house.

Random visuals are also used, such as the head that can be seen below the artefacts have nothing to do with the music, but they're inserted in such an artistic and simplistic minimal way which contrast against the rest of the background represents the style in which the music can be quite minimal but have complex meaning through the random words that are added to. This is again related to the randomness that can be found in fidget house visuals.

Some house music visuals are also representative of particular art movements as can be seen below such op-art. this art movement was about the rejection of traditionalism and the bringing together of a modern community, therefore it is obvious why it is used a lot in house music as house music was about the rejection of traditionalism and the bringing together of communities who felt like they have nowhere else to go.
