Toxic Masculinity - Booklet Planning

Most brands, of cosmetics, include a small booklet/pamphlet; which introduce the brand, the product and explains how to use it in some cases. This allows the user to understand what they've purchased. I feel like it is important to have this included within my product range, as the product is aimed towards both genders. Majority of these instructions/tutorials are aimed only at females, included online tutorials which my research has shown. By creating my own manual to include in the post out i can aim the book to both gender and put a simplified explanation of the way in which to apply to product to achieve either a male or female shape and form; which could be disregarded but it gives the consumer to opportunity to choose the way they use the product.

The booklet will start with a breakdown of each product that is included in that person's mail-out box, making it personal and only including the relevant information. This breakdown is needed so each of the users understand what is in the product and what it is used for. These will be accompanied by the corresponding colour of that products box making it obvious and clear that the product links with that particular description.

Post description, I will be including simple diagrams of the way it is recommended to use that particular cosmetic product, from both a male and female perspective. The diagram will use colour contour lines to give a simplistic visual representation of where to place the product. Making it clear, concise, and taking away the verbal aspect of having to read instructions; for this type of product a visual approach works in a more effective manner.

Alongside the description of how it is recommended to use the makeup there will be an illustration iterating the brushes/pads that could be used to achieve that application in the best way possible. Again using illustrations to create this makes simplifies the method to its core, and therefore gives the easiest explanation to anyone from experts to first time users.
