toxic masculinity – tissue paper development and stickers

To be able to create the most professional looking outcome I furthered my exploration into thinking about the type of things that come with in the packaging, of the said type of products for which I am designing. Within any mall outbox there is a form of protection this is normally well designed and suited to the brand such as tissue paper. This tissue papers and only therefore an element of protection but is also an extra element of design to push the brand a little bit further, was also adding a little sense of luxury. To also seal the box I decided to create stickers. These stickers would allow for the box to be sealed over from the bottom and also keep the tissue paper in place. These stickers could also be used to be put in the box ad a little extra something. Similar to the way in which when you go to eventually receive stickers which people put onto their laptops and other places, people could use these stickers to put onto their devices or put up in their homes or added to different separate things to represent the equality of the genders which this brand does.

 Tissue paper design:

The design itself of the tissue paper I believed should be inclusive of the brand therefore retain both the logo and the name itself. The designs itself all feature repeated pattern, majority of the designs go slightly off of the edge of the paper this is to give the effect that the design has been cut off a larger role and then placed into the box created to personally to each box, adding authenticity to the brand.
 design one

 designed two

 design three

 design four
in order to get the best response from what I should produce within a critique from my peers I asked which would be most appropriate for the brand taking in consideration the current products I'd already been designed. Design one and two was most popular because of their simplistic nature. To be able to investigate this further I printed both designs and asked the same question again, once folded design to seem to lose its authenticity due to the large nature of their only sections could be seen with in the box when folded. Whereas with the smaller logos and smaller logotype available on design one, the brand was more evident. Therefore this is the design I would be moving on with.

the stickers themselves were to be simple I originally began with the logo by itself, the logo itself is strong and stands for a modern and apt cause, fighting for equality is something that majority of people agree with and therefore this representation is something that people should use to be able to promote both the brand and equality. The stickers would be produced in circles and cut out using the vinyl cutter therefore it would give and even shaped it every single one.

Production:

In the production of the tissue paper, I was unable to source a GSM thin enough to actually resemble tissue paper that would be able to go through the printer. there was companies that would be able to produce such prints, but to only to trade, with the smallest role size being 250 m. Therefore to be able to give the effect of tissue paper with its translucent identity, I printed onto tracing paper this allowed me to have a physical copy of what would be produced if this design was taking to industry.
When producing the stickers unfortunately due to technical issues, the vinyl cutting machine would not be able to cut out the exact circles of the stickers. In fear the stickers looking unprofessional and not part of the brand, I decided to develop the stickers into a square format instead, still allowing for the consistent equal design. the sticker designs were printed onto translucent paper this was to make sure that the logo would stay prominent once stick on to something else.
