Toxic Masculinity - Males using cosmetics, changes

Instagram is a massive platform for makeup artists and the majority of its users are of the younger age range, similar to that of the age range I am investigating and aiming my outcome towards. Guys who have started by posting their use of makeup and makeup tips have now broken into the industry through doing so.

Thomas's style is truly unique: He experiments with makeup more than most do, and it always ends up being a complete success. From the elegant and delicate to the crazy and galactic, this boy can do it all.

@Jamescharles

James Charles is 17 and this year he was named the first male CoverGirl ambassador. His internet fame started the day of his senior-year photo when he decided to take the picture wearing makeup and using his own professional lighting.

@thealexisstone

Alexis Stone is a UK makeup artist (MUA) who uses makeup not only to express himself but also to interpret the looks and style of many celebrities, making his name as a makeup artist who can use his arsenal of tools and products to create any look such as...
Jenifer Lawrence
Leonardo Di Caprio
Cher

@SalhisWorld

This makeup artist and blogger gives advice aimed towards a more gender-neutral market, showing skincare techniques that could be used to men and women. The makeup styles that he advises are also more 'natural' style, and more traditionally associated with 'masculine' contours and shapes, giving the option for guys to understand the use of everyday makeup and its use not only to experiment with looks but to also use makeup to cover blemishes, enhance natural features and improve the users confidence.
