CC - Animation and GIFS

Once we planned out this sketch is of the animations that we would be creating we began to experiment with the animation itself. Through using YouTube tutorial on how to animate text in after effects we applied aligned to the tax which would fill up the circuit.

To begin Emma split the logo into different layers so that she could make each element editable this is shown in figure 2. Once this was complete and the layers were imported into after effects to be able to begin editing. The outlying taxes place within the foreground and letter by letter a stroke was applied to fill the text as shown in figure 3 and four.

Emma and I took turns in animating each letter; however, we came to an issue when it came to animate the connecting tubes. We found that due to the complicated shape of it after the branch is coming off in a vertical direction compared to the horizontal direction, we could not animate it go in the correct way. After experimenting with this for a long time reviewed the animation we had completed and felt that it was not enough professional standard to be able to be part of the branding. Therefore, we chose to make GIF animations to be able to represent the branding in a more professional polished outcome.

After developing already of interchanging to get we had to prepare the files to be animated. Through the use of exact placement in copying over design boards in Illustrator, elements were taken from certain outboards to be able to be given a particular element to be overlaid over the previous, which went on in order creates a GIF-like animation within photoshop.

I created the GIF photoshop using the circuit filling up visual which we previously explored. We chose to do this at high speed be up to keep it interesting and also to be able to keep moving throughout. This animation would also be consistent with speaker announcement if we were selected to carry out the brief. Due to how time-consuming this element was important to get together an example of what it could look like if selected to do the brief.
We created two short gifts in blue-and-white to show as a post on Instagram introducing the event with the logo and the dates.

The same concept and process was used within the creation of the other promotional GIF's which can be seen below.
