Before moving ahead with the physical creation of any
promotional materials including the website, it was decided that Photoshoot
should be undertaken. This would allow for promotional images of the business leaders,
in the uniform which features the new branding. This is something that I also
noticed in the research of other websites, that nobody else within the industry
has done so far. Having a photo shoot that was specifically aimed around the
visual style and tone of voice of the brand itself it would allow for elevation
of professionalism above the other competitors in the local area.
I'd previously worked with a photographer who was based
around the Birmingham area, her style was correct for the type of images which
we required. I was needing images that contained an Autumn in order to pull the
orange colours out of the branding. This would contrast against the grey and
the white uniform itself.
In order to contact the photographer, I used Instagram, this
contact consisted of immutable of having photos to show the style in which the
images need completing as well as a request of the style of images that could
be used within the promotional materials. Including the importance of having
the branding evident within the images themselves. Where possible the face of
the two leaders of the business should be avoided, as a growing business they
will be taken on employees and therefore the imagery can be carried across if
their faces are left out keeping some anonymity to the Photoshoot, putting the
focus on the brand rather than the people.
Once this is completed, she contacted the two business
members and arrange to have the Photoshoot. Unfortunately, due to poor weather
conditions, this was pushed back the three weeks. Due to the fact that this was the pushback, I started developing designs before having the imagery, which later I
would place the imagery into allowing fitter size to go into production as soon
as the photo she had been completed to ensure that the deadline for the overall
brief was still met.
