CC - Crit 1

At this point in the design process, both Emma and I were at a point where we have the chance to have a critique session.

My Crit:

Within my critique session, Emma and I decided to present the same located two different sector groups of people, in order to gain different feedback. After explaining the initial concept behind the piece, and the reason why we chose circuits; from the fact that conversation is a natural occurrence in a selected topic, which this event is not, making it more of a connection. The group every feedback on the logo, for example, saying to double check the alignment of each of the elements in order to give it a more cohesive style, in terms of the circuit arms being an even width and weighting. It was also said that we could experiment with movement and possibly animate the circuit coming to life, although this would need to experiment amongst other electrical circuit iconography.

Emma's Crit:
During my group tutorial, I presented the Creative Conversations logo we had for feedback and idea suggestions. I explained our idea that we investigated the idea of conversations and how it was something which is a natural occurrence, with no selected topic. We felt that this was not the nature of the event and felt that it was more about making connections, which led us to this idea of a circuit. I presented Figure 1, our favourited logo design which the group liked, and suggested that it should be animated. They liked the idea and concept and felt that they wanted to see the 'spark' from a circuit.
