Creative professions can take an infinite number of forms. Paths, motives, outputs and stories vary, but there are some constants. Stay tuned over the next week for some of the key insights shared by our stellar lineup.
The word infinite - meaning never ending, in this term never ending possibilities from where the creative conversations week could take you. Possibly look into the imagery that is based around infinity, look into the way that the name could fit into the concept.
History of conversation itself:
What is a conversation - conversation is interactive communication between two or more people. The development of conversational skills and etiquette is an important part of socialisation. the development of conversational skills in a new language is a frequent focus of language teaching and learning.
An assumption of what a conversation is - The term is often defined by what it is not, a ritualised exchange such as a mutual greeting is not a conversation. For example, a mutual greeting has no outcome and therefore is not a conversation, neither is an employer giving an order to someone who is an employee, rather this exchange is a command and response.
This statement offers questionability of whether or not creative convo's week workshops are in fact a conversation, due to their nature of consisting more of a singular person offering orders to groups of people in order to gain a result, rather than a back and forth. Meaning the event overall offers more connections than conversations.
"Conversation is the kind of speech that happens informally, symmetrically, and for the purposes of establishing and maintaining social ties."
Sharing Knowledge:
Knowledge sharing is an activity through which knowledge (namely, information, skills, or expertise) is exchanged among people, friends, families, communities (for example, Wikipedia), or organizations.
Organizations have recognized that knowledge constitutes a valuable intangible asset for creating and sustaining competitive advantages. Knowledge sharing activities are generally supported by knowledge management systems. However, technology constitutes only one of the many factors that affect the sharing of knowledge in organizations, such as organizational culture, trust, and incentives. The sharing of knowledge constitutes a major challenge in the field of knowledge management because some employees tend to resist sharing their knowledge with the rest of the organization.
