In order to pitch the design be presented to the relevant
tutors, as well as the other competitors who created branding for the event. We
kept in mind to keep the visual consistent style with the branding itself
within the presentation, we also wanted to include GIF’s and therefore created
the presentation in the keynote as PDF format does not allow for this type of
animation. The presentation shown below has been converted to BDS it does not
show the working features of animation, please find the presentation keynote attached on the USB submitted with the physical hand in.
We began the presentation with the presentation of the logo,
this created a good introduction to be able to set the visual style of the rest of
the presentation. We began by describing the concept behind the idea which
bought the design together, the fact of what a conversation is built around. We
showed logo variations explaining why we chose the selected typeface as well as
explaining the colour selections. The posters design was shown in all
variations with overarching posters individual posters and the end thank you
poster. Whilst expanding these physical copies were also handed out to all
members of the audience. We use some mockups to show the designing context to
be able to get a better feel of how the branding works as a whole. We entered
the pitch with an alternate name, creative connections, as this is what one of
the tutors who set the brief had asked for.
We both feel that the pitch went well and to plan, we
presented our idea clearly and gave reasoning behind each of the design
choices, we also spoke in a clear and concise manner.
