CWTS - Brand Colour Selection

In order for the brand to be represented correctly and in a way that was distinctive to the brand of the area, I decided to select a colour a scheme that would be used throughout the branding.

When selecting a colour scheme, I had to bear in mind, the theme of simplistic minimalism which went throughout the rest of the branding in order to gain a sense of notoriety for the new business. I also wanted to take into consideration the addition of a small accent colour that could be used across promotional materials and also through other aspects of the branding itself such as the website design.

Through selecting a bright bold and modern accent colour it represented the use of the people running the business itself, as well as the fact that the business had a new outlook on the way in which it approaches the way that the business deals with the local community. For example, the business had already planned to carry some community programs helping out with various local sites which needed clearing.

In order to be able to select an accent colour my first needed to select a base colour to run off. Due to the fact that most of them clients the company will be taking on our home clients (domestic clients) purely due to the size of the current business I decided to look into the theme of trends within colours presented in the home. As previously discussed, the audience members of this type of business people with the excess money you are able to take care of their home and be able to spend on gaining the correct athletic to be able to represent themselves in the community, this is further the aspect of the fact that the business is present within affluent areas.
When considering the most minimal and simplistic trends within colour grey springs to mind, it is a softer version of black the simplest of colours, whilst also contrasting against white, another colour of symbolism and minimalism. Through the use of grey high contrast of both white and an accent colour could pull out key features of the branding. It is also recognising that grey is not used within any of the other brands locally, therefore, allowing the brand to have a distinctive visual identity that does not clash with any of the other competitors that are of option.

Orange was selected as the key accent colour to be able to decide this I started to look into colour theory. Oranges are representative of enthusiasm fascination creativity and determination. I felt as if the mix of these attributes describe the business the way in which they see themselves. Their enthusiastic and fascinated with the work that they do, the implement creativity in the way in which they interpret a job and completing outcome in an innovative manner and they are determined to be the best of what they do within their area, and provide superior service.
