At this point in the design process, I thought it was important
to have a critique with other designers, that was not the designer I was
creating the branding for. Through doing so would gain creative insight from
people who have not seen the burning before. In order to fill the critique
session in, I decided to give some short information about my research of the
designer themselves. Showing a short amount of the designers worked for them to
be able to gain an understanding of the tone of voice of the designer. I also
informed the critique session group about the client research I had completed
informing them of brand personas etc.
it was agreed that idea three from the initial idea stage
was the best representative of the designer herself due to its unusual experimental
focus of the way the typography itself had been manipulated. It was also
discussed that rather than using the existing type, type it should be changed
and edited in order to create something completely unique the Abigail Curtis
brand. Through doing so it allows a completely unique experience for the
audience that will not get confused with any other brand identities. Therefore,
the idea will be progressing within the development stages is idea three.
