As I was in London, I decided to meet up with client face-to-face. This
gave me the opportunity to show my initial ideas and development stages and be
able to present the two ideas which I felt worked best for the brief. During this
face-to-face allowed me to gauge their reaction and also gauge the way in which
the two people organising the event themselves interacted with the design.

The feedback to design one was all positive the team felt as
if it was representative of the LGBT community in the correct way, being
visually representative of LGBT culture was not being too intrusive. Therefore,
also being professional, and able to represent the media community in which the
professionals engaging with the event would be sitting and also. They felt the
title was too distracting placed over the rainbow colour itself and they should
be left uninterrupted. Therefore, the title will be moved to the bottom of the
page as seen in previous experimentations, this is something that was also
shown to them within the initial idea stage.

The feedback to the second design was also mostly positive,
the team enjoyed the way that the type was separated out in an even spacing and
therefore gave an even call for attention. Although this would need to be
simplified to the copy which had been put on the poster does not technically
need to be on it as this will be part of the social media.
Although, it was felt that the object (even though
representing to the LGBT community and reflective of research patterns that the client previously identified as liking) was to representative in an obvious manner.
This was due to the intense colours that are evident in this outcome. The team believe that the more subliminal use of the colours, as seen in design one
a better representative for a professional engagement event.
Moving forward:
Moving forward all be making the amendments speaking about
with the client. I will be refining the design and then coming back to the
client to be able to present the final design to have it signed off and
therefore decide on the identity. From here be able to move forward with a
clear idea direction to the rest of the visuals needed the event, such as
announcement posters.
