Parklife GIF 2 |
As the team requested a GIF to use as promotion on social media,
I decided to look into the way in which other events use GIF promotion. A prime example of this was the recent part of branding done by Studio Morross. The gifs
are simplistic and offer a slight bit of movement offer point of visual
difference for an audience when scrolling through social media. This will
benefit the event which I am banding due to the nature of the event is in the name, by adding a sense of movement it engages the audience on a higher level
than a still picture, especially within a digital environment. As can be seen
in these gifts minimal movement is used, yet the slight bit of movement brings
the branding to life. Therefore, will be planning out and creating a gift which
can be posted on the social media aspect of this brief.

Planning Notes |
In order to be able to get a clear idea of what I'm going to
get I decided by to make a plan for each of the frames that I would need to
create. I'll be creating the gift in photoshop.
Creation:
In order to get the frame sitting on top of each other
correctly I decided to create each frame in illustrator in a square format.
This could then be placed directly into photoshop in the exact position that
it would need to be in, ensuring the most accuracy with the movement of the gif
itself.

Due to the visual identity already been set and need to
coexist with the current branding, which was already designed, I decided that
there was not much trying to do. Therefore, I tried a few different sequences
in addition to different colours within my trials to be able to achieve the
most effective gift possible to get the information across while also putting
across quite a voice for the branding and the audience.

Trial 2 |
Trial one best represented the branding of the other
elements that I'd already created, due to the fact that singles out in layers
of the texts and the way in which it was created representing evenly each of
the colours. It also continues on to display the name of the event the location
and the date all of which crucial information.
Trial two contains block colours in the background for each
of the lettering, I believe this made the gift to long and therefore not
appropriate social media to people who will be swiping along quickly need
to get the information a quick space of time. I also don't think that this is
fitting for the rest of the content has been created for the briefing resemble
some of the initial trials.
Therefore, the continuation will be designing gives a
variance of trial one. The entire will focus on refining down the typography
and the timing of the gif itself.
Final GIF:
It appears to be that Blogger is not uploading the GIF's correctly, therefore please find a copy of the final gif on either the USB handed in with the official submission or at this link below.
