Pagination is the sequence in which numbers are
assigned to pages in a book, or publication. This is a consideration that needs
to be taken into account when designing for print, especially when using
different paper stocks within the same document. For example, when using
tracing paper or acetate it needs to be taken into consideration what will be
on the other side, and depending on how the document is being bound, the
different stock will affect another two spread elsewhere in the book. In order
to create a book that is paginated correctly it needs to be done in series of
four; allowing for front and back cover as well as a double inside spread.
