Changes to our brand identity in the beginning of the
developments we have started to branding identity gained positive feedback. Brands
have a strong basis which could be built to create a strong branding identity
the exhibition, taken a different approach in comparison to other teams. The
design should remain consistent with the tabloid identity, and also take
influence from the research we discovered, such as the headlines on the sandwich
boards which include humour. The idea of humour could be another unique selling
point for branding, this could be used in form of wayfinding; or within my
social media branding, this can lead to making a hype through the use of ‘fake
news’. We also discussed the idea of using sandwich boards for the wayfinding
of the final exhibition, this could be made by wood work, and placing in under chicken
wire, to create an affordable alternative. The catalogue will be based around
the idea of a broadsheet consisting of a few a2 sheets of newsprint keeping
costing down and also allowing the most pieces to be put on the sheet.
Crit Notes:
Catalogue - Understanding what’s what, giving you some
information on each of the pieces.
signage /wayfinding - know where you're going.
Social media - create a hype then keep it going, countdown
to opening.
Exhibition curation - how are you going to hang it/ present
it and where.
Catalogue could be black and white broadsheet paper, using
colours like red in a single context layers over.
Rate the matters by which one is most pressing to be able to
organise the exhibition in which is the most important. Timeline organised in
which has been chosen the most by students because that seems the most
important, with a little statement reasoning why they had chosen that
particular event.
