Moving away from your delivering binding, as it would take
away from the modern design style, began to think about the idea came up in my
crit about binding the top of the calendar with cardboard and placing a hole
through it to be able to hang it on the wall. This could be bound with staples
at the top of the sheets when printed, and then black card placed over to cover
the staples and give a finished polished product.
Compensating Space Added |
The compensating amount of room was added to the design
bringing each of the design contents down slightly, by adding this it ensures
all of the card will be placed at the same place. As the booklet will be 10 pages long (academic months) and
have card either side I will need to drill through the piece to create an even
hole. This must be in the centre of the piece or it will not hang correctly.
The pages will need to be perforated allowing the person to
rip each one off after use. To do so I will need to purchase a tracing wheel,
this also needs to be taken into consideration at production to ensure the
paper is not too thick to be able to perforate and rip it.
