The calendar will be based around the classic student
fresher idea of alcohol; it is true when you come to uni your alcohol intake
increases vastly. This tends to be around times of stress to be able to help
said stress, yet at the same time you find yourself celebrating once the stress
is over with more alcohol. The calendar will also be based around the idea of
stress, as this is something I have vastly become used to since the beginning
of university to the point where it has majorly effected my health beforehand,
this is something I wish to help them students avoid.
Taking into consideration these starting points I will be
making the calendar interactive by creating a cocktail recipe for each month,
depending on the difficulty of the month on graphic design the cocktail gets
stronger. The calendar will contain the method, ingredients and a small illustration
of the cocktail itself, depending on how it would normally be presented.
Desk Calendar Style |
The idea of the calendar is to create a desk size calendar
which you would be able to flick through and keep on the student’s desk so it
would be accessible, and easily transportable for the students. This could be
cheaply bound, and the style would allow them to keep the illustration and
ingredients afterwards.
The design could also be placed into simplistic ring bound
A3 flat wall format. This would allow for the content to be larger and the
piece to be hung on the wall itself rather than taking up more space on the
desk, which they would need to be able to complete their studies. Similar to the image above the piece would consist of a
series of sheets that would be bound.
