In the second meeting before showing the client to the initial ideas I decided to go through the current research, I've done. This is to give the client an idea of the direction in which I want to take the branding and therefore allows them to intervene if they feel like the direction is going within the wrong direction. Therefore I presented the research which had currently done looking at the brand personas in which I think that the client the brand would be, as well as giving the opportunity for the client to see and which stores and retail space I could see the clients work working at. The client as previously mentioned her interest in going into homewares and using the prints across a plethora of products in this industry, therefore it was felt that the directional is going with research in terms of style home Oliver Bonas and John Lewis, were fitting to the type of products he eventually wants to be creating. The design also felt that made.com was a very fitting style of the type of products that she produces and also the type of audience she wants to connect with. Therefore be further looking into the visual language and identities in which these brands use the designer also mentioned her interest in possibly using her prints within activewear this is something I touched on previously in the persona research but is something, now look further into. Again looking at the brands themselves and the type of imagery in which they present themselves to the industry.
Next steps:
- I will continue on the research and also begin to create initial ideas.
- I develop the initial ideas and put them into a presentation for the next meeting with the client.
- Our present final initial ideas to the client and discuss which ideas you would like to move forward with and develop the ideas into a final product.
