Cherrytree Bakery - Rationale

Entwistle’s of Lancashire, is a brand that exemplifies premium, indulgent products; whilst adhering to its honest values. The name derives from the family-run routes in which the brand has evolved from, taking the name from the family that are at the helm of Cherrytree bakery. The use of an individual name, rather than a business persona, allows a more personal feel when conducting business with b2b clients as well as the public. The introduction of ‘Lancashire’ gives a local feel to the endeavour, the name reminds clients of the local industry they are buying into, whilst operating on a national scale.

Whilst creating branding, I believe that a brand's visual identity is much more than simply a logo, therefore as part of my design, I will be creating more than just a logo. I will be investigating into colour, imagery and ways in which the branding identity will be used, for example, its presence online. In order to bring together the brand as an entire image which can be carried out across all required platforms. In doing so I will be showing the client the way that the brand can work as a whole.
